Nolensville 44, Columbia Central 7
Coby Walton threw for four touchdowns and the Knights racked up 460 yards of offense to cruise to a Region 6-5A win against visiting Columbia Central on Friday in Nolensville.
Walton completed 15 of 20 passing attempts for 250 yards. He connected with Dylan Northcutt for a 45-yard strike and Chance Fitzgerald for a 17-yarder to open an early 21-0 lead in the first quarter. He added TD throws to Fitzgerald again, for three yards, as well as a 10-yarder to Nick Orefice.
Fitzgerald finished with six grabs for 121 yards and the pair of touchdowns. The explosive senior has racked up 221 yards receiving with five touchdowns in the past two games.
Zion Tamaska rushed for 114 yards on 13 touches and Samson Johnson added 58 yards rushing. Johnson scored the first touchdown of the night on a 5-yard run less than two minutes into the contest, while Tamaska's 9-yard scoring run closed the scoring with 7:35 to play.
Nolensville scored the first 37 points, limited Columbia Central to 151 yards of offense and forced four turnovers.
Kayden McCoy rushed for 118 yards on 10 carries for Columbia Central with most of the yardage coming on the lone TD for the visitors on a 80-yard scoring burst late in the third.
Nolensville (5-0, 2-0) ends a three-game home stand in Week 6 against Rockvale.
